North Texas 11/6/2009 11:32:44 PM | Many, if not most Americans may be somewhat familiar with The Jerry Springer Show. This show has now been on the air for 20 years and is the place where people without any sense of dignity get their 15 minutes of fame by revealing far too much information about themselves and their personal lives. So with that said, I am just wondering if the UK has a show that allows people to degrade themselves to the lowest level of humanity. I shamefully admit that the Springer show is hilarious in its own sick way. Watching this show can sometimes be fun and sickening because you know there is a 'human train wreck' about to happen. Once you take a look at the show's website I believe you will completely understand what I am talking about. The Jerry Springer Show
I would be remiss if I did not state that over the decades the UK has provided the world with many of the most entertaining comedies, drama's and everything in between.

Cardiff 11/7/2009 1:39:45 PM | and the Trisha show.
I never understand when they bring on woman whose boyfriends are cheating on them and the women try to attack each other. I'd be ranting on the boyfriend, not the other girl. |

Jasper, FL 11/7/2009 1:51:39 PM | I Feel my IQ dropping when I watch shows like Jerry Springer. Maury isnt much better.
I do however like Prime Minister question time in the House of Commons. I will occasionally catch a House of Commons debate on Cspan here and I will sit and watch the whole thing.... I really like the back and forth banter. Our house and senate debates are much more structured and boring. i wish the US would adopt a similar system honestly. I would LOVE to see some of our smart whip republicans in the house be able to have a go at president Obama. |

Tim, it's all well and good to have a parliament that take cheap shots at each other but if they spent as much time working for the greater good of the UK, we'd be doing much better. They are, quite frankly, like a pathetic bunch of kids. |

Cardiff 11/7/2009 2:18:33 PM | When the Jerry Springer Musical was on tour in this country, there were protests outside theatres by Christian groups who were urging people to boycott the show. |
