Can I win something?

Currently our contests are purely for the fun of it - to give artists a challenge to think "outside the box" and maybe learn something from the other entries in the contest. The three highest ranked contest entries for each contest receive a virtual contest medal, that will show on the profile of the artist. The winners of each contest will also be displayed on the Contest Page until the next contest ends, which gives them a fair amount of exposure. Contest images also receive substantially more attention than regular images, simply because more of our visitors will go through each contest to vote on all images submitted.

Contest Notification

In order to keep our members informed of new contests one of our administrators will post a Site Announcement in the forums for each new contest. We also send out email notifications to our members who have chosen to be notified over email about new contests. You can change your email notification settings any time by navigating to "My Tools" and then "My Preferences" on the "Site Navigator" menu on the left side of the screen.

Entering an Image into a Contest

To enter an image into the contest, first read the contest description by clicking the Contest Title for the contest you want to enter on the Contest Page. To enter an image, simply click the "Submit Image" link that shows underneath the contest you want to submit your image to. Please read the contest rules carefully before submitting an image - violations of the contest rules will result in disqualification of your image.

Contest Rules

Depending on the type of contest, you will find that different contests have different rules. The detailed rules for each contest are posted through a link titled "Contest Rules" in each open contest. Please make sure to read the contest rules carefully before submitting an image! If you have any questions about the rules, you can post them in the Site Q&A forum, or you can send one of our administrators a private message.

Contest Results

The results of the last contest are always posted on the Contest Page until the next contest ends. If you would like to see all results, you can simply click on the Contest Tile, on top of the section showing the thumbnails for the first three positions. If you would like to see previous contests, their entries and results, you can follow the link on the bottom of the contest results section titled "Previous Contest History", or you can just follow this link.
