I've been a Nikon photographer on and off for over 39 years from film to digital. I have remained loyal to Nikon in only purchasing Nikon USA gear for my work. In 2007 I became very interested in photographing nature and wildlife birds. If it weren't for Teach50 (Linda) I wouldn't be here on Eyefetch. I've been inspired by so many wildlife photographers here on Eyefetch. Thank you Rusty for your bird book gift!!

I am critical of composition, sharpness and lighting. I am an avid user of Photoshop CS4 for all of my post processing tasks. Awards are important to me but critical comments offer much more for my growth as a photographer. I can't consent in having a friend's list because members offer more objective comments and ratings. If you care to have me on your watch list, so be it. If a member's photo is not perfect in my view, (R10) I prefer to write to them suggesting an improvement.

I look for gesture, expression and to photograph all kinds of birds in their natural environment whether they are perched on an old branch, shrub or at a nature preserve.

I rate other photos based on a healthy description left and camera settings to share. Leaving a photo with N/A in its description box offers no knowledge of how the pic was acheived.

I use the Eyefetch.com website only as a professional medium for learning and sharing & not a chat board.
